News on the OECI Accreditation and Designation website:
- From the chairwoman, Mahasti Saghatchian, an overview of the group's achievements and future perspectives; the A&D programme is already preparing for a second version of the standards and extensions to the programme will be added through EurocanPlatform.Click to read more about these subjects presented during the OECI General Assembly.
- The OECI A&D Board is strengthened with a new member. Eoin McGrath is the Executive Officer of JACIE and he is presenting himself. Read more

- New OECI PhD staff working on the Work Package 12 of the EurocanPlatform.

- On November 3rd, a workshop was held on the development of an Excellence Designation System (EDS) for Comprehensive Cancer and Research Centres. A lot very interesting presentations were given by well known and respective people. Read more about the meeting and the first next steps in the process of developing EDS.
- October and November 2011 were busy months for three teams of auditors who reviewed the next three OECI centres in the peer review visit of the OECI A&D Programme. The teams were welcomed in Institute Jules Bordet in Brussels, Helsinki University Central Hospital and the Vilnius University Oncology Institute. Click to see the overview of all applied centres.
